This 40 hour instructor level course focuses on instructor development with a strong emphasis on instilling you with the latest and up-to-date techniques and concepts for teaching firearms safety, handling, program development and marksmanship. You will also gain a deeper understanding of the legal and ethical responsibilities that come with being an instructor and firearms training.
This is a TCOLE regulated course, so attendees must have completed TCOLE Basic Instructor and be a certified peace officer. Must be able to pass a written exam, a student teach-back, and a mandatory pistol and shotgun qualification course with a 90% or better. Failure to show proficiency will result in a dismissal from the course.

- Current Law Enforcement, Military, Government Credentials
- Basic TCOLE Instructor Certification
- Must be in good standing with current department
- Must be in good physical condition
- Must not have any medical restrictions
