TACTICAL RIFLE APPLICATIONS

Tactical Rifle Applications is an intense firearms training course that focuses on dynamic action while deploying a tactical rifle (carbine). Participants will learn the development of aggressive gun-handling, tactical speed shooting and certain skills enabling them to quickly and efficiently engage threats while performing multiple complex tasks including dominating the weapon, while continuously moving.

  • The modern techniques of shooting and applications
  • The effects of Sympathetic Nervous System in a high stress environment
  • The concepts of your vison in a high stress situation
  • Shooting from cover/concealment positions
  • Transition from rifle to pistol
  • Multiple targets
  • Shoot and no shoot drills
  • Moving while shooting
  • Low percentage shots
  • Speed Mag Reloads vs. Tactical Reloads
  • How to apply practical techniques of shooting in a high stress situation
  • How to apply concepts of basic marksmanship shooting skills utilizing an AR-15 in a CQB environment
  • How to apply concepts of moving while shooting as a small rifle team
  • Dominating weapon, threat and all visual areas while continuously moving
  • The concepts of your vision in a high stress situation
  • What ammunition criteria to use when choosing the proper defensive ammo

PREREQUISITES

  • Must be a licensed sworn law enforcement officer/agent with arrest authority in the prevention, detection, apprehension, detention and/or investigation of felony and/or misdemeanor violations of federal, state, local, or military criminal laws
  • Must be able to participate in intensive training lasting up to 10 hours per day
  • Must not have any medical restrictions

REQUIRED TRAINING MATERIALS

  • Rifle with at least 3 magazines
  • Magazine pouches
  • Must have a sling on your rifle
  • Rifle must be sighted in before attending the course
  • 800 rifle rounds
  • Pistol with at least 3 magazines
  • Magazine pouches
  • 200 pistol rounds
  • Essential duty gear (i.e. duty belt with holster and magazine pouches, load bearing vest or plate carrier, etc…)
  • Hydration source of some type
  • Ear and Eye protection
  • Gun Cleaning Kit
  • Writing material
  • Camelback or other means of hydration
  • Appropriate wear (BDU, agency t-shirt (long sleeve or short sleeve), boots, etc.)
