Course Details

The TTPOA in conjunction with the Brownsville PD, Cameron County Sheriff's Office and Corpus Christi PD SWAT are proud to announce they will be hosting a 40+ hour ADVANCED SWAT course in Brownsville, Texas from November 7th - 11th 2016. p2 Concepts will be instructing the Hostage Rescue portion of this course.

The course will be presented in a round-robin format with advanced courses in Firearms (pistol and rifle), Vehicle Assaults, Bus Assault, and Hostage Rescue.  This intense course will culminate with a final FTX involving multiple coordinated operations to be executed on targets. Class will start on Monday, Nov. 7th at 8:00 a.m. at the Brownsville Police Department, located at 600 E. Jackson Street, Brownsville, Texas.  A meet & greet and course briefing will be held where students will be assigned/broken down into teams.

Advanced Weapon Tactics (Handgun and Rifle)

Advanced Hostage Rescue

Final FTX involving multi-team hits on multiple locations

Prerequisites

Students should be BASIC SWAT certified and experienced team members. Course is open to law enforcement officers and active duty military personnel only!  ID's will be confirmed.

Required Equipment

Students will need all normal assault gear including long guns, handguns, body armor, helmet, eye/ear/groin protection and gas mask.  Students are encouraged to bring Simunition Weapons and/or conversion kits suitable for FX Marking Cartridges for their weapons if available.  Students should bring appropriate clothing for all weather.

Handgun:  400

Rifle:  400

FX Marking Cartridges (if available):  100 per person

The course will be held in various locations within Brownsville and the students will be responsible for transportation to and from the training sites.

The course will begin promptly at 8:00 on Monday, Nov 7, 2016 at the Brownsville Police Department located at 600 E. Jackson Street, Brownsville, TX 78520.  All students must be present at this time.
