With the popularity of red dot systems on pistols, we have developed a 3 day Instructor course for officers to teach their departments the proper concepts for utilizing an RDS on duty pistols. Instructors will develop a greater understanding of shooting fundamentals and how they apply with and RDS as well as instructor development on how to increase the knowledge and confidence in their officers shooting skills.

- Understand the difference between on focal plane versus three focal planes
- Understand target focus
- Understand how to properly acquire reticle while staying target focus
- Be able to apply target focus method to shoot accurately while utilizing a pistol RDS
- Understand the definition of alignment parallax
- Understand the definition of focus parallax
- Understand reticle tracking
- How to overcome common issues with shooting pistols equipped with RDS
- How to efficiently draw pistol with RDS from duty holster
- How to effectively shoot from dominate hand only and support hand only
- Understand Optic malfunctions / handgun malfunctions
- How to correct common shooting issues
